Visit Basics
Do I need a reservation for a tasting?
Reservations are preferred so we can save you a spot. Same-day walk-ins are welcomed when space allows. Call 805.238.1854 or email taste@steinbeckwines.com.
What are your tasting hours?
Open daily from 10:00am – 4:00pm. The last tasting begins at 3:00pm.
Where are you located?
5940 Union Rd, Paso Robles, CA 93446. Ample on-site parking near the tasting room.
Do you allow dogs?
Yes—well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome. Please clean up after your pup. Service animals are always welcome.
Can we bring outside food?
Light picnic snacks are welcome at outdoor tables when available. No outside alcohol, please.
How much is a tasting?
Standard tastings are $20 per person. Fees may be waived with qualifying purchases—ask your host.
Groups & Experiences
Are kids and families welcome?
Absolutely—please supervise children at all times for safety.
Is your tasting room accessible?
Accessible parking and entry are available. If you have specific needs, tell us in advance and we’ll be ready.
What makes your tasting room unique?
We pour in our renovated 1921 Blacksmith Shop, with artifacts from 140+ years of Paso history.
Do you accommodate large groups or limos?
Yes—please reserve for groups of 8+. Call ahead for limo/small bus parking guidance.
Do you offer vineyard tours?
Yes—book our Jeep Vineyard Tour (CRASH COURSE) to explore the ranch and vineyards. Email cindy@steinbeckwines.com.
Can I celebrate a birthday or special occasion?
We’d love to help—share your date, group size, and ideas; we’ll tailor something tasteful.
Wine & Purchases
Can I purchase wine by the glass or bottle on site?
Flights/tastings are the focus. By-the-glass may be available; ask your host. Bottles available to take home.
Do you ship wine?
Yes—to many U.S. states where permitted. Seasonal weather holds may apply. Bring valid ID for purchases.
How do I join the Wine Club?
Ask your host during your visit or contact us—perks and allocations vary by season.
Can I pick up online orders at the tasting room?
Yes—bring your confirmation and a valid ID during tasting hours.
Logistics & Policies
Is photography allowed?
Personal photos welcome. For professional shoots, commercial content, drones, or tripods, email ahead for approval.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Major credit/debit cards (tap-to-pay supported) and cash are accepted for on-site purchases.
Indoor vs. outdoor seating?
We offer both, weather permitting. Let us know your preference when booking.
Parking & rideshares?
On-site parking is available near the tasting room. Rideshare drop-offs are easy—set your destination to “Steinbeck Vineyards & Winery.”
Do you pour for guests under 21?
Tasting and purchases require 21+ with valid ID. Non-alcoholic options may be available for designated drivers.
Is same-day booking okay?
Often yes—call 805.238.1854 to check space. Weekends/holidays can fill up.
What if we’re running late?
Give us a call if timing shifts; we’ll do our best within the day’s schedule.
